Lorenzo Silva (Madrid, 1966) is the author of numerous books, including La flaqueza del bolchevique (The Bolshevik’s Weakness, finalist for the Nadal Prize, 1997), and Carta blanca (Carte Blanche, Primavera Prize 2004). In 2006 he published Y al final, la guerra (And Finally, War), a book-length investigation into the intervention of Spanish troops in Iraq, and in 2010, Sereno en el peligro. La aventura histórica de la Guardia Civil (Cool Under Fire: The Historic Adventure of the Civil Guard, winner of the Algaba Essay Prize). Additionally, he is author of a series of detective novels featuring the Civil Guard duo Bevilacqua and Chamorro.
